The DS1307 is a low‑power, battery‑backed real‑time clock/calendar IC in an 8‑pin DIP package. It keeps time (seconds, minutes, hours) and date (day, date, month, year) with built‑in leap‑year compensation, supports I²C interface, and includes 56 bytes of non‑volatile SRAM.
